The Klava Deepavali Run aka The Hidung Kembang Run, was held on Deepavali day itself. It's a relay run, consist of 3 people in a group. Why is it called the Hidung Kembang Run, I'll let the pictures tell you....

Special medal

It's a 2.5km run (but I think it's shorter than that). It started with a downhill run, lepas tu, towards the end, it was uphill all the way. Tu yang kembang-kembang hidung sorang-sorang. Even the pro runners pun were breathing hard.

Javier, Milton and Suleiman arrived when the race was practically over. But they ran despite everyone has done running. Good spirit you guys.

Of course, Chan's team (G) arrived first, followed by us (H), then Angah's family (I), and then Halil's (K). And the last one, and I mean, really, the last team to arrive, is Along's, with Nina and Kak Fida in the team (J).

The best runner for the day has to go to Iylia, bersungguh betul dia. Just look at her pics. For Pian, haaa.... rasakan la. Congrats both of you for getting your first medal, ever.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Age Qualification - 12 years and above as at 31 December 2007. However, Parental/Guardian consent is needed for participants who are under 18 years.

Category OPEN - One or more male runner below the age of 40 years OR one/more female runner below age 35 years.

VETERAN - All 3 runners to be male of 40 years and above or all 3 runners to be female of 35 years and above.

Note : The organiser reserves the right to cancell this the VETERAN category if there are less than 5 participating teams and transfer them to the OPEN category.

Entry Fees - RM 15 per participant / RM 45 per team

Participation - Confirmation of participation is upon receiving payment of fees. For those who are interested but unable to form a team, the Organizer will try to assist to pair them with other on a first come first serve basis. However, the Organizer reserves the rights to alter/reject any team (without giving any reason).

Total per team - 3 runners

Distance - 2.5km X 3 (Pending verification)

Terrain - Uphill & downhill on tarmac road (1 loop per runner)

Award - POSITION medals will be awarded to all participants who completed the relay.

Closing Date - 1 November 2007 or when achieved quota of 10 teams for each category,
whichever comes first

Dispute - All protest should be referred to the Organizer within 15 minutes of the official announcement on the conclusion of the race. The decision from the Organizer is final and conclusive.

Kuantan TC Run 2007

Time: 7.15am
Venue: Teluk Chempedak, Kuantan, Pahang Darul Makmur
Distance: 10k (9.6k to be exact)
Runners: Along, Angah, Alang, Halil, Me, Chan, Jaya, Fuzahir and Fairul.
Menyibuk: Achik, Akim, Izzat and Iylia....hahahah

The Fantastic Four plus Silver Surfer (Fairul) left for Kuantan on Friday. The rest of the group came on Saturday.

We all stayed at Vistana Hotel, about 5km to TC. We had dinner at Kuantan town. Makan nasi, stocked up energy.

We left the hotel around 6.15am and headed straight to TC Beach. Warmed-up a bit, gelak-gelak and then to the starting line.

Exactly at 7.15am, we countdown ourselves to start the race and then off we go....

The weather was ok. The route was quite hilly especially the last hill nak sampai to the beach. Tu yang rasa paling killer sekali. Water station had sufficient water supply, diorang kasi air Power yang warna merah tu and plain water. They had people waiting at junctions to guide us too. Good organiser.

Seperti biasa our President sampai dulu, followed by The Thing, and then Fairul, Jaya, The Sexytary, Alang, Along, Angah and last but not least Halil. Hah, cam nak mampus rupanya dah masa sampai kat finishing line.

This race banyak surprised finish la. The usually fast runners, were struggling. I guess I know why, too much of Lemang, Ketupat, Nasi Himpit and Rendang. Ye la lepas raya kan.

Everyone received a medal. The medal kali ni memang lawa habis. Very unique.

As soon as we arrived, the first thing that came into our head, was of course.... Air Milo. Yeaaa, line tak panjang. Orang tak ramai sangat. Sorang-sorang grabbed at least 2 cups of Milo. And few more after that....

We stayed on sampai habis event. And guess what, two of the SlowMovers got lucky and won prizes. Fuzahir dapat a bag full of Power stuff and the best one of all is Halil, dapat kasut Brooks. Caya la. First time lari 10k, finished almost as the last person but dapat one of the grand prize. Baru berbaloi. So lepas ni kena masuk banyak races lagi la ye.
